MCCOY POTTERY USA TURKEY COOKIE JAR RARE Out of a recent estate comes this rare vintage Mccoy cookie jar. The cookie jar is in the shape of a turkey. The head lifts off to reveal those home made cookies that every kid likes to find. The piece has been hand painted and fired to a high gloss. T is also some cold paint work done on this piece.The feet and black feather on the front are cold painted and have some minimal paint loss ( please see photos) The cookie jar measures 9" tall,7 3/4 wide and the opening for the cookies is 5". The Mccoy turkey cookie jar is in very good condition with no cracks or repairs. The is a small chip on the under side of the lid as see in the photo.The piece has minimal crazing consistent with it's age. In no way does it take away from the beauty of this hard to find cookie jar. I do not use BUY IT NOW or END AUCTIONS early-sorry I like to give all bidders a fair chance at winning the item.
