McELLIGOT's POOL by Dr. SeussFirst Edition, Later Printing 1947This Trade Edition book is in remarkable condition for its age and the first that Dr Seuss published after returning from his duties in the military. This printing is not a first because the mouth of the fish is closed. The jacket is chipped on the extremities, more toward the spine and flap bends. It is missing small pieces toward each spine end but otherwise is in great shape, the colors are vibrant and the price is UNCLIPPED (after later editions were released these prices were usually clipped to resemble the new price). The CLOTH boards are bright and green, black writing, only with slight rubbing on the bottoms and tops from shelf wear, otherwise amazing condition. The inside colours and pages are extremely bright and colorful, no discoloration, no bent pages, no foxing, there is an inscription on the inside front endpaper from a previous owner, which is crossed out and a new owners name replaced. It is rare to find this title with an in tact Dust Jacket with the cloth boards.If you have any further questions about this wonderful childrens book please don't hesitate to contact me.
