McIntosh MR-55A FM/AM Tube Mono Tuner Incredible sounding tuner. FM Reception was strong and extremely 3-dimensional. Even though this is mono tuner it has 2 outputs which enable you to get full, extraordinary lifelike sound into 2 channels. Faceplate, knobs, black transformer are about as good a condition as you will ever see on this tuner. Lights and meters working. The included original slant leg cabinet will need to resurfaced if you want a flawless cabinet (most noticeable flaws are one side of the cabinet, see pictures), the tuning string will need to be restrung for the tuning needle to move with tuning knob (the tuning string clip is included under the wood cabinet), and t is an area of surface corrosion on the chassis top plate. Mixture of tubes. Quiet operation between stations. Did not have a loop antenna to fully test AM but the FM sound was tested and gives goose bumps. I can not imagine anyone will miss the idea of Stereo once you ear this unit from both channels of your amp. No reserve auction so this unit will sell. It will be heavily packed for shipment Not DOA but due to nature of vintage electronics no other warranties expressed or implied. Sale tolower 48 states bidders. No zero or negative feedback buyers.
