This is a Red & White China Plate made by Mcnicol China, stamped/ numbered on the bottom 104. the design is a rose garden border around the edge, some call this design 'Montgomery" and also "Chardon Rose' but I am not sure if either of those is correct as I am not familiar with the patterns. this is called resturaunt ware aswell. this is rare though I know that because I cant find the oval small plates anywhere online. lots of dinner plates and cups but not this type of plate. this plate is 6'' long and 4-1/4'' wide. there is a few spots on the back that look like manufacturers defects in the glazing which is common for this type of plate to have from the firing process when made, but no damage like crazing, no chips, and no cracks! very lovely little plate.
