VERY RARE McVITIES & PRICE ARTEMIS BRITISH BISCUIT TIN c1909 GREAT TIN FOR COLLECTORS!!!! ****Please see 2nd photo - info courtesy of website - British Biscuit Tins**** Tin is a lovely navy/royal blue colour with cream colour decoration. Front has a great picture of Artemis with the words McVitie & Price, Edinburgh & London under it. Back of tin has a nice picture of a stags head with MP above it and the wording McVitie & Price, Biscuit Manufacturers to H.M. King Edward V11 & H.R.H. The Prince of Wales. Also says... Gold Medal Calcutta 1888, Edinburgh 1886, Grand Prix Franco British Exhibition 1908. Manufaciories Edinburgh & London, McVitie & Price's Digestive Biscuit "The Premier Biscuit of Britain" Some small dents and scratches on outer surfaces and discolouration/loss of shiny surface on inside of box associated with age/use. The front edge of the tin is slightly misshapen but still closes OK & back hinge is fine. I have provided plenty of photos so please study them carefully.
