For sale is my much modified 10" Meade Schmidt Newtonian OTA. I just do not have time to image anymore so this and the rest of the imaging kit is for sale. The Meade has fantastic optics and is a great performer both visually and is perfectfor imaging. It has half the coma of newtonians due to a spherical mirror and corrector lens rather than the more common parabolic mirrors. The OTA is flocked, fitted with a crayford focuser, large collimation knobs/springs, stainless steel hex bolts and also a heavy duty machined wedge and machined handle fitted to the rings. This makes the tube far more rigid. The scope has excellent optics and I would consider this the one of the best scopes if you want to image as well as use it for visual. I am very sorry to see it go as this is the second I have had after trying many different combinations over the years and finally re buying one of these! It is also supplied in a custom made plywood case so makes transporting and storing the scope easy and safe. It could possible be shipped although it is pretty weighty in the case. This is an excellent scope and I can supply astro images taken with this exact scope mounted on an EQ6.
