Meade ETX-80-AT GOTO Telescope in excellent condition - This great little telescope package was purchased fairly recently to see if I would enjoy getting into astronomy. Having only used it 4 times I am completely hooked on the hobby and are now looking to invest in a larger Meade LX. The scope itself is very easy to setup once the mount and scope are properly aligned. I found the 2 star alignment to work very well and tracked objects such as M13, Pleiades and Jupiter incredible well - bringing them right into the eyepiece. The scope resolves planets and the moon very well, infact Jupitor actually looked crisper than a friends 8in Skywatcher 200P reflector telescope when we viewed it a few nights ago. Everything works as it should and its all in excellent condition ready to go. The scope comes with the Autostar controller, tripod with blue Meade carry case, accessory tray, 2 lenses, compass, scope lens cap, manual and a dew shield. I don't have the original packaging, so I would that suggest the new owner stores the scope in a rucksack like I have been. If you're looking for a truly portable setup that you can take anywhere, then this is the setup for you. It can be put together in a matter of minutes and quickly packed away just as quick when you're done for the night. Lot's of people I know are saying I should keep the scope because of this reason. However, as much as I agree with them I do need the money to fund my new scope.I've advertised as pickup only due to size and weight and I am located in Water Orton just outside Birmingham.
