This lot is for an excellent full size, die struck copyreplacement pair of the KOREA MEDAL& United Nations Korea Medal KOREA MEDAL The Medal was awarded to all British and Commonwealth forces who took part in the Korean war between July 1950 and July 27th,1953. Particularly sort after by medal collectors are the medals issued to the 'Glorious Gloucesters' for their for their gallant stand at the Imjin River. Description: The observe has the right-facing bust of Queen Elizabeth II with ELIZABETH II: DEI: GRATIA: REGINA F: D: round the circumference and on the reverse, Hercules wrestling with the Hydra, with KOREA in the exergue. Ribbon: Yellow with two blue stripes United Nations KOREA Medal Description: Observe shows the wreathed globe emblem of the UN, with the reverse inscribed FOR SERVICE IN DEFENCE OF THE PRINCIPLES OF THE CHARTER OF THE UNITED NATIONS. Ribbon: Seventeen narrow stripes alternating pale blue and white. Each medal is an unamed die struck copy and comes complete with its own individual plastic medal wallet.
