CALENDAR PLATE POOLE POTTERY - JANUARY The Brilliant Medieval Calendar Series of plates were designed by Tony Morris, who joined Poole Pottery in 1962. They are the culmination of several years' work on the development of special techniques brought up to date in this unique series of plates from the Craft Section of Poole Pottery. The plate has been individually made by hand in clay and sprayed with a red coat of clay on the face to enrich the final surface. The first firing fuses the clays together and the 'hard biscuit' plate is decorated by specially trained artists who sign their work with initials on the reverse. They are in the style of stained glass windows and issued as a Limited Edition of 1000 of each plate. This January plate is 12.5" (32cm) diameter. In original box with certificate. I will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Thank you for looking and good luck with any bidding.
