The map extends from Iberian Peninsula (to the West) to Turkey and Holy Land (to the east). The map covers also Northern Africa . Map gives several details concerning place namemes, lakes, rivers, montains, islands. Map flanked with a decorative title cartouche. Date: 1787 ( undated ) Dimension: Pa per size approx.: cm 43,3 x 28,1 Condition: Very strong a nd dark impression on thin paper. Paper with chains. Uncolored as issued. Top margin cut very shortly. Wide lower margin. Lateral margin fully missed . Small foxing and browning. Conditions are as you can see in the images. Mapmaker: Etienne André Philippe de Pretot (1708-1787) a royal censor and professor of history at the Royal Academy of Science in Paris .
