Gold record for "Meet the Beatles" brings Beatlemania back to square one, as the Capitol LP was the lads' first "official" album released in America, on January 20, 1964. (The earlier Vee-Jay LP "Introducing the Beatles" was from earlier released material.) Propelled by the success of "I Wanna Hold Your Hand", the album zoomed to gold status, repeated by every ensuing album. Gold disk presented to Capitol features the record with its red label mounted in a framed display with the gold RIAA plaque and the abum cover. 17 x 21". NRMT.
