Meiji Japanese Antique Set of 3 Jizo Bosatsu Handcarvings from TempleMade in Japan A set of five Rare handcarved Jizo Bosatsu statues. Meiji or older. Made of Cedar and copper. These came straight from an old temple in Kyoto. There originally was a set of around forty on a background drop for a praying area inside a temple. Each are uniquely carved with different personalities of each of the carvings. For example every face and size is slighty different to give them a very real life like presence. These items are extremly rare and diffiult to come across.
