MEISSEN OTTO PILZ SHEPHER D w. FLOCK RAM & SHEEP c. 1910 This auction is for a very decorative and highly collectible and imposing porcelain group by MEISSEN depicting an athletic shepherd with long coat, cap, scarf and boots, messenger bag and walking in excellent naturalistic pose while he is knitting. Behind him you will recognize his flock with ram and sheep on the grassland. The base is signed by the artist O. PILZ = Otto PILZ and the porcelain statue is further marked on the bottom with the two crossed sword Meissen mark in blue color, first quality and numbered 134 / 50. German description: .schöne decorative Porzellangruppe von MEISSEN, Darstellung eines Schafhirten mit Widder Bock und Schafen; gemarkt vom Künstler O. Pilz = OTTO PILZ am Sockel, Unterseite zeigt die Meissen Schwertermarke in blau, erste Wahl, sowie die Nummern: 134 / 50; sehr guter Zustand mit einer alten professionellen Restaurierung bei den Hörnern und Fingerspitzen; datiert um 1910. Size / Measurements : height: 12.40 in. (31,5 cm) width: 14.96 in. (38 cm) depth: 6.49 in.
