An ornate and exquisite porcelain bolted Urn in need of some restoration. The bolted base pedestal bearing the Meissen under glaze blue Crossed Swords mark and incised �16/5.� On the front a beautifully hand painted Courtier scene and on reverse hand painted flowers, cabochons on the lid also decorated with flowers. Overall encrusted with wonderful Flowers and Fruit and further enhanced with acanthus and gilt embellishments. The side handles surmounted with a pair of courtier figures. Overall height 13 inches, width 6 ¼ inches. Both side figures in need of considerable restoration as pictured, the man with arm missing, the lady also with loss to something she was holding, relatively minor chips to flower petals and a leaf on the main body, the lid with more substantial loss to leaves. Overall a fine piece that would be well worth restoring, it is sold as is and as pictured with no cracks, chips or restoration to the main body or lid.
