This is a very collectable Melba Ware ( H.A.WAIN & SONS LONGTON STAFFORDSHIRE ) "PUNCH" Character Jug . The jug a small hairline on the inside of the handle (please see picture) and a couple of small marks around the rim but is free from any crazing. I am not sure what has been put in the jug because it very dirty inside, could have been used as a candlestick. The measurements are approx. 41/2"(115mm) in diameter (at the widest point) and 61/2"(165mm) tall with the Melba Ware back stamp on the base (for full back stamp please see picture). The cost of postage and packing is U.K.£3.50, Europe £6.00 and U.S., Canada, Australia, Far East etc. £12.00. The item will be packed up carefully with lots of bubble wrap to guarantee it reaches you ok. The white marks in the picture are flashes from the camera.
