Mellins Food Children of all Nations Postcards c1900 Alf Cooke Printers Samples Description Alf Cooke Printers of Leeds Set of 22 Sample Children of All Nations Postcards for Mellins Food. Superb oppurtunity to obtain a very rare set of Printers samples for Mellins food,i have tried to research these cards but cannot find any evidence that they actually went into production. I have dated cards to around 1900 but could be a little earlier or later,could probably date a bit more accurately by studying the flags illustrated. The Cards are in very good condition with excellent artwork,some have minor creasing to corners but overall majority are in mint condition. 22 Hand Cut Cards measure 5.7 cm x 9.0 cm The Russia card has details of set written on reverse "Mellins Food. Post Cards Children of All Nations " (see photo). They come with original sample packet which is in very poor condition but has the Alf Cooke details on. Nice set would add to any collection of Trade Cards or Post Cards . Please do not miss this chance to own these wonderful cards they may well be unique.
