A rare offering.In Memory of My Feelings is a selection of poems, each on its own loose leaf (or more than one sheet) by Frank O'Hara, edited by Bill Berkson. 30 artists have decorated O'Hara's 30 poems, many of which appear on multiple sheets (in those cases artists may or may not have decorated more than one of the parts/sheets).Original decorations by Nell Blaine, Jasper Johns, Norman Bluhm, Matsumi Kanemitsu, Joe Brainard, Alex Katz, John Button, Lee Krasner, Giorgio Cavallon, Alfred Leslie, Allan D'Arcangelo, Roy Lichtenstein, Elaine de Kooning, Marisol, Willem de Kooning, Joan Mitchell, Niki de Saint Phalle, Robert Motherwell, Helen Frankenthaler, Reuben Nakian, Michael Goldberg, Claes Oldenburg, Philip Guston, Robert Rauschenberg, Grace Hartigan, Larry Rivers, Al Held, and Jane Wilson. Each artist decorates one loose-leafed sheet facing one of O'Hara's poems.Contents of the folder are pristine, all thirty poems and accompanying artwork by thirty artists. T he slipcase (cloth over boards) is sturdy but stained/foxed, as shown in accompanying images.
