Men’s Large Longines Solid 9k(ct) Gold 17 Jewel Cal. 490 Watch c1970. Beautiful vintage watch and amongst the most collectable of all Longines models . Offered here is a men’s very large Longines solid 9k(ct) gold 17 Jewel wristwatch c1970. It has a superb solid 9k (ct) yellow gold case, signed winding crown, movement. This timepiece has been professionally serviced and is in excellent working condition. The case is fully hallmarked for London and has a date letter p for 1970 and is free of dings or dints. The light champagne dial is signed Longines Swiss Made, has gold hands and batons and a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock. It measures a large 36mm wide excluding the crown, 43 mm lug to lug and is in excellent condition. The case is signed on the inside D.S&S Baume 63762 9 .375 and has a inscription dated 1971 on the back. It is powered by a fully signed Longines cal. 490, 17 jewels, serial number 14760809 dating it to 1968 and is a very capable performer. Please ask any questions before bidding.
