OFFERED IS A HANDSOME MEN'S ANTIQUE OSTBY BARTON 10K YELLOW GOLD ONYX ENGRAVED SIGNET 'R' RING. The Amazing Ring is in Beautiful condition, the ring bears an OB10k hallmark. This mark is very visible as shown in pics. There's a slight rattle when shaken but the onyx and the letter are secure and not going anywhere, mentioned for accuracy. This richly designed men's signet ring will make an excellent addition to any Ostby Barton collection! Size is just under 11 on my ring sizer and weighs a hefty 5.5 grams. A very historical piece, because Engelhart Ostby (Co-owner of company) was a first class passenger on the Titanic & was among one of the 1,500 passengers who perished during the tragic iceberg collision. The company was established 1879 in Providence, Rhode Island. At it's time, it was considered one of the leading producers of fine jewelry. The company ceased production in the 1950s. Ostby & Barton jewelry is highly desired by collectors of fine antique jewelry for its beautiful workmanship & historical significance.
