Mercedes 200T , w123 1983 Estate It is a very sad day for our family as we are loosing one of our members. We love this car and have had so many adventures and good times. However, the off side rear trailing arm has had a leak, and the rust has made it break. It has stood on the road for 4 months unused as a sale before I went away on business fell through, and I did not have time to sell her again until now. I am charging the battery and will run the engine every day until auction has finished. With the car, I am selling the a sound and good spare I have bought, as well as brand new bushes and a brand new sway bar link. The parts are in the boot and come included with price of the car.. Obviously the key thing you need to know when buying this car is that it with this repair needed, you cant drive her away, and will need to pick it up with a truck or trailer. Rear wheel Off Side is at wonky angle with the broken trailing arm. See picture. That said the Road Tax runs out in June 2014, and the MOT expired in May 2014. (However it would of course not pass in its current state.) I am now doing the GOOD, BAD listing below, and I am sure there will be the odd thing I forget to include. But please, no "tyre kickers", as I am not trying to pass this on as a immaculate car. But the key is that until this part failure this was our only family car, and was great runner, that never let us down and served us very well. Someone with time on their hands could do well with restoring this beautiful and now very sought after car. Please send me any questions. Also, let me know if you would like to come and have a look at her. GOOD BITS: Great, reliable engine, that has done 180k. Always started and never let us down. Power Assisted Steering. Rear wheels changed to brand new tires in March 2013. Front wheels in good condition. Both NS and OS rear wheel arches replaced for new panels in 2010. Rear and middle exhaust sections changed for new parts in 2011. Power steering fan belt changed for new part in 2013. Alternator belt changed for new part in 2013. Annual Oil changes. Oil filter last changed 2012. Air filter changed in 2012. Original AM/FM Radio. (However Cassette player is not working) Original tool kit. Cargo net kit fully working. I have a ton of receipts and other bits from the previous owners. Car that turns heads and makes people smile. (especially those driving it.) I have included the parts to replace the trailing arm, and they re in the boot. BAD BITS: OSR Trailing arm broken. Car is not in a road worthy state until this gets fixed. Some rust on body panels. (Bottom of doors, a small section of the bonnet, NSF wheel arch, bumpers. Sun Roof leaking. I have taped it up. Some cracking in door seals. Water can leak in in bad rain. Rear windscreen washer pump not working. Central locking not working. (Drivers door opens fine, and stays open, but the other doors tend to lock again, and need to get opened from inside) Boot lid does not want to stay open in cold weather. And it is very stiff to unlock from inside. And the key wont open it from the outside. (I have a whole boot door part, but never got around to changing it. Winner can have it.) The chrome Trim, on OSR wheel arch, is coming away. Just needs a new red plug thing. NSR Door has started to stick an bit and make noise when it is opened. Some of the lines on the rear windscreen heater wont come on. (But enough to demist and defrost the window!) There is the odd chip on the windscreen, but has passed MOT with current windscreen. The electric motor for the radio antenna has stopped working. Some damp marks on front seats. (Rear seats in good condition). Small plastic foot stool next to clutch missing. Probably many other small thing that you should expect on a 30 year old car. Please note: Buyer must pick this car up with truck or trailer.
