Original Messko Hauser Mercedes Benz 180 Tyre PressureGauge,original box & Technical Sheet This is a very rare Messko-Hauser manufacturedTyre Pressure Gauge as supplied in the tool kit of my Grandfather's Mercedes Benz 180. It's in remarkable condition considering it's age, made out of stainless steel with glass screen. The words "MERCEDES-BENZ" are inscribed on the front and the words" MESSKO-HAUSER, OBERURSEL a.ts, d PA1.u.GM on the reverse. The scale is marked from 8 to 42 psi and the orange bar works as new. There is some scuffing of the metal to the end of the head. The gauge functions but I cannot guarantee it's accuracy after 50 years! The gauge is in its original pale blue leather bound case with the Mercedes-Benz logo. It is worn with the leather scuffed on the corners and the rear, but the dark blue velvet lined interior is in excellent condition. Inside the lid is the original Technical Data Sheet for the Type 180, stating the tyre pressures in five languages. It is inevitably torn along the folds after more than 50 years in the box! This a very rare item, specially manufactured for Mercedes-Benz by Messko-Hauser. It was supplied to the Mercedes-Benz range from the mighty 300SL, the 300 2 doors, 220's, right down to the 180.
