* Metal Jointed Folk Art Santa Shadowdancer * Please notice the wonderful painting and details on this Shadowdancer jointed Santa. From the holly on his hat, the toys in his sack, the intricate face details, on down to the gold trim on his boots, the painter (Young) carefully detailed this delightful jointed tin Santa. He still has his original tag which explains the history behind "shadowdancers"--primitive country toys which cast a shadow on the wall by the light of a kerosene lamp. I purchased this shadowdancer in the 1980s at a craft fair. Condition : Almost perfect--a wee bit of white paint is missing from his beard on one side. (See photos) As my husband and I prepare to retire/relocate, we are parting with some of our treasured antiques and folk art that we have had for 25+ years.
