I COMBINE SHIPPING * ALWAYS, 100% SATISFACTION GUARANTEED! is a 9.81 gram part slice of Northwest Africa (NWA 1277). This is a CO3.6, W1 Ornans type carbonaceous chondrite found 2001 in the Sahara desert. One stone weighing 1200 grams was found. The only other CO3.6 that is currently available in private hands is NWA 1292, which weighed 136 grams. This meteorite is not paired with NWA 1292 even though they share the same classification. This meteorite appears darker in color because it is more shocked and the crust is not quite as fresh. Warrenton, the only other CO3.6 in existence besides the two NWA meteorites is not available to collectors. NWA 1277 is a fresh and beautiful example of an exceedingly rare subtype, so if you are into collecting by type this may be a great opportunity to add a very fresh CO3.6 to your collection. This specimen is from the MICHAEL COTTINGHAM METEORITE COLLECTION and is guaranteed to be authentic and as stated in description. All meteorites come with a 14 day return policy if not satisfied, and an Identification card. Shipping is $2.50 in the US. $4.00 overseas. I have been hunting, collecting, buying and selling meteorites for over 7 years and I am one of the oldest meteorite sellers on ebay.
