On the other hand, we do not test jewelry in any way so some of our pieces “may” be genuine even though we do not identify them as such. There are times when pieces are made of precious metal or are adorned with real gems, even though they are not marked. If we suspect this is the case with a certain piece we will state just that... that I suspect, or in my opinion, or I believe it could be. ..DO NOT take this as a guarantee of authenticity. STUFF WE HAVE TO SAY BUT WISH WE DIDN'T NEED TO: Vintage Jewelry is, by it's very nature, USED, OLD, Jewelry. Let me say it another way: Vintage Jewelry is old jewelry and usually (though not always) used jewelry. It often shows its age in some ways (crazing, tarnishing, discolored stones, dirt, scratches, bending, looseness, even some repair (soldering/gluing) etc.). It seems as if most people understand that, but apparently not everyone ... hence this disclaimer. We do NOT repair jewelry. If a piece is broken, or missing stones or parts we will try to be careful to note that in the listing. We will not, however, try to list all the other characteristics that are common to vintage jewelry and please remember that we are human (well, Tim is at least) and we may miss an issue once in a while. Please look at the pictures and read the descriptions. If you have any specific questions that are not answered there, please ask BEFORE bidding. We are sympathetic to buyer's remorse, but unmoved by it. We do not take returns unless a piece has been seriously misrepresented in the description and that will NEVER happen. We are not out to deceive anyone - there's no point in that. 99.9% of our customers are very pleased with our items (please see our feedback and comments). If you bid on an item we assume you know that you are buying the jewelry "as is" so be sure you ask your questions beforehand. We do not take returns. The reason is not because we are trying to foist inferior items on our customers but rather because this is a hobby and not a job. We enjoy providing wonderful items and a high quality of service for our customers. We just don't have the time to be managing the inventory we have and processing return items as well. While we take great pains to pack things carefully, occasionally things may be damaged in shipping. If that happens we will be happy to refund the purchase price and ORIGINAL shipping cost only, upon receipt of the broken item in the return mail.
