This is wonderful modernistic style bracelet by Hungarian born, Mexican designer, Pal Kepenyes. My understanding is that Pal Kepenyes still owns a gallery and makes jewelry in Mexico. He started working in Mexico in the 1960s, and is an award winning artist and known for his bold distinctive designs. I am not an expert on this artist but this appears to one of his earlier works, first of all it came with a collection of vintage 50s-60s jewelry and the style looks like some of the design work that he was doing during this time period. So I would consider this piece, a vintage example of a piece done by a still, living and working artist. This piece can be seen to have hand wrought, and hammered in areas. T is a turquoise colored stone. Again, I am not an expert, so I don't know if it is a real turquoise or not. The bracelet is just about 8" around. I would would fit a medium to smaller wrist woman fine, maybe somewhat tight on a larger wrist and on a very large wrist would not fit. Though I wasn't able to clearly capture the mark with my scanner, it is clearly marked with an impressed mark, on the inside back of the bracelet as "Mexico, Pal Kepenes". this piece has minor, normal expected wear, it is in overall excellent condition for its age. It is so well made and sturdy, with proper care, this would have generations more use in read more
