I think I will have FOUR of these early 1970s sterling snowflakes from the MMA for sale this week. Most are MINT in original display box. Similar to Gorham and Reed & Barton, the MMA started making these collectible ornaments, I believe, in 1971. This one is marked 1976 (sixth in the annual series) and was designed by Lance Hidy. It is about 3" high. It is pure sterling silver and as you can see this one does not need as much polishing as the others I'm selling. The box has the original description tag and original protective tarnish pouch. The insert has a GREAT DEAL OF WRITING ON IT. It has been personalized with the recipient's name and underlined on the front. On the back is a long note in pen about how expensive the snowflakes had become at the MMA. If you want to bid on a few others, I can combine shipping. I must warn you though. If you buy more than one, I must switch shipping to a ground service, because it is much safer than USPS. Anyone who has ever filed a claim with USPS knows what I am talking about. Shipping for this ONE is USPS: S&H is a low $5.10 in the US ONLY US ONLY, USPS priority rate.
