THE DELICATE DEPENDENCY a Novel of the Vampire Life by MICHAEL TALBOT. Avon, 1982. 1st printing. I have never seen a later printing. I don't think there were any.VERY RARE and much sought-after. One of the finest modern vampire novels. (See my entry on it in Joshi's THE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF THE VAMPIRE.) A vampires-as-illuminati novel, very vivid, very original, with characters and settings (19th century, mostly Paris and Italy) extremely well realized. Alas, the author died shortly thereafter and this was never reprinted. If you look it up on you will find that even the most beat-up copies start at about $30 and the good ones go up to about $150.00.Always happy to combine shipments on multiple wins.
