It takes place in 2004 at the vinyl empire of Brokeland Records on the edges of Berkeley and Oakland, CA, along--of course--Telepraph Avenue. Wonderful and unforgettable characters, and Chabon's rich gift for dalogue are standouts. A MUST HAVE!! This is the first American edition, first printing, with the complete number line. It was SIGNED on the title page IN PERSON by the author at a stop at Seattle's terrific University Bookstore--a place I've personally haunted both before and after my years of living near--yep!--Telegraph Avenue in Berkeley! This is not a book club edition, remaindered or marked in any way, or ex-lib, but is a flawless copy from my personal collection. The dust jacket has been wrapped in a Mylar protector.
