While working as a buyer for Company D, theemployee store that was located back stage at Disneyland I developed severalproducts designed exclusively for employees to enhance their work experience at Disneyland in Anaheim California. In order to commemorate the grand opening of Mickey's Toontown on January 26, 1993, I created this numbered, limited edition watch for employees. This watch was created exclusively for employees and was not sold to the general public. This is watch 1977 out of only 2,750 that were created. The watch dial features Mickey and all the gang on the famous trolley car that runs through Toon town. The artwork is in full color, 4-color process on a brass dial. Additionally, I used custom created hands in the shape of Mickey's hands. The back of the watchcase is etched to read, "(C) Disney Company D Grand Opening 1977/2750 Grand Opening January 26, 1993" The employee store logo, Company D, is also etched on the back of the watch. I started placing the Company D logo on all my items created for Disneyland Cast Members because I was frustrated by the main merchandise buyers from Florida coming to Company D in California and simply taking my product, intended for employees, and trying to sell it in the park.
