This cheerful ceramic bank from the mid century era is as colorful as it is useful. This is an old style bank for the SERIOUS saver.... It has to be smashed to retrieve your deposits! This scaly fellow with his fishy stare stands ready to hold your coins and look great while he's doing it! Glazed in bright teal green, brown, black and white patches, he has a terrific mid-century style. The molded surface is decorated with stylized fins and scales and glazed with a high gloss. There are no condition issues with this pretty fish, and he is a good size, standing about 6.5" tall and about 10.5" long. Since the coin slot is at the very top of his dorsal fin, you can display him on a shelf and no one will even know he is a coin bank!
