1st GE Transistor Radio-1955 Ivory Model # 676 For your bidding delight I am featuring a ivory USA made General Electric 5 transistor horizontal radio. General Electric produced these hard to find very early transistor radios in 1955, the 676 model number is used for the ivory version. Usually, these radios are found with the dial markings worn off. It was made in four different colors - ivory, ebony, red and aqua, each color has a different model number. This 3 1/8 "LX 5 1/2"W x 1 1/2 "D radio is housed in a ivory plastic case. On its front right side t is a very attractive brass gold red round station dial. Above the dial is the GE name, logo in red and a round ivory accented with red pinwheel on/off/volume control. To the left side t is a large lattice speaker grill. Cosmetically this radio is in very good to excellent condition. I do not see any chips, crack or dents. There are some scratches and wear marks on it ( Mostly on the back rear side). There is a slight fading of its logo at the "C" in Electric, the dial marks look fine. The color is rich. There are a few light scuff's on the brilliant gold dial. . Functionally this radio is being sold untested. I do not have the kind of battery this radio takes to operate and test it. Due to the age of this 50 plus year old radio it is being sold AS IS meaning as pictured and described. read more
