This is a listing for a hand wrought mid century modern sterling silver and turquoise ring. Hallmark: None. Unmarked studio piece that tested as sterling. Condition: Very good vintage condition with dark 60 to 70 year old patina. Possible split on one of 4 solder points on the band, described above. Band has excellent shape and is strong. Gemstones are natural Persian turquoise, high grade in a medium green color with excellent polish and no damage. Elaborate mounting is very strong gauged with no damage of any kind. Dimensions: Size 9. Weighs 6 grams. Stones are 4 to 5 mm each. Face of ring is .5 inches top to bottom and one inch across. Design: Modernist. The artist surrounded two round turquoise stones with an elaborate and streamlined, very modern setting. The stones are round cut with a domed surface and extra deep smooth bezels. They're elevated with fused double wires forming an oval base. It's an open design with two more fused double wires wrapping over each of the sides, forming the shoulders. A third set of wires forms the shank and it's bridged with still another, 4th set of wires. They are all beautifully shaped, curved, flattened and woven into an elaborate yet very streamlined mounting.
