The limited edition disc MICHAEL NESMITH PRESENTS - NOT YOUR STANDARD MONKEES TRASH STASH (featuring The Legendary Lost Sessions of 1968/69) collects most of the songs Nesmith wrote and performed with the Monkees from 1965 through his legendary lost sessions of 1968/69, whose songs and style were the blueprint for his 1st National Band, and an innovation of the country rock revolution that followed. Also included are his rarest pre-Monkee single recordings as Michael Blessing , the excellent trippy garage instrumental A JOURNEY WITH MICHAEL BLESSING and JUST A LITTLE LOVE, a great country folk rock song that served as a blueprint for his some of his best songs with The Monkees, and the excellent Beatle influenced HOW CAN YOU KISS ME, an unreleased Monkees song from 1965. Featuring 31 songs (many rare) and over 79 minutes of music, this is an excellent overview of the depth of Nesmith's talent and his most innovative work from 1965-1970. Songs are: Papa Gene's Blues, Sweet Young Thing, A Journey With Michael Blessing & Just A Little Love (45 as Michael Blessing), How Can You Kiss read more
