Offered is a rare, vintage Mike Sanders Combat/Fighting Knife with Combat Sheath from the Vietnam War era. This knife has never been used, carried, or sharpened. It features a 6.5-inch double-edged 5160 stainless steel blade with bead-blasted satin finish that is extremely durable. The knife has a full mortise 416 stainless steel tang and uses carbon steel rivets on the beautiful linen micarta handle. This knife is 11.25-inches in overall length and comes with a handmade leather leg/belt/web sheath. Note the military fasteners for attaching the sheath to web gear. Mike Sanders was from Ponchatoula, Louisiana and started making knives in 1965. His combat/fighting knives, like Randall knives, were frequently carried in Vietnam and are quite rare in unused condition.The knife is accompanied by a custom made leather sheath.
