MIKE SANDERS COFFIN HANDLED DAMASCUS BOWIEFor those who have not heard the sad news, Michael Moor (Mike) Sanders passed away on December 17, 2015. The knife world has lost an exceptionally talented maker, and I am proud to remember him as a close friend.Up for bid is a magnificent coffin handled bowie that Mike made in 2012. This full tang beauty is 11 3/4" over all with a 7" X 1 1/4" X 1/8" damascus blade hand forged from 5160 and 15n20 carbon steel. There is a 4 1/4" false edge on top of the modified clip point blade. The handle slabs are exhibition grade desert ironwood pinned to the fileworked handle behind an oval guard. This outstanding bowie comes in a hand made hand tooled leather sheath by the maker.
