You are Bidding on a NEW and SEALED in the BAG, US Latest MILITARY Issue " IMPROVED" Modular Sleep System. In 2006, the SOLDIER PEO Board asked the maker of the MSS to IMPROVE the MSS. The PEO Board wanted a Lighter Weight, more compressable system with improved zippers for fast zipping and Un-zipping in an emergency and a larger toe ( box) area to accomdodate Boots. They also asked for it in the NEW Ranger Foliage Green with a ACU Digital Army cammo Waterproof Gortex Bivy that was just as waterproof and larger and even lighter than the old style. The troops were complaining that the OLD STYLE MSS ( woodland) was way to HEAVY and way to BIG for humping in a ruck. Upon opening the my box and lifting the sealed bag out you will immediately notice how compact and lighter this " IMPROVED" system is. The OLD STYLE Woodland Systems are now obsolete and are not being issued. Get the REAL DEAL that is current and very effective. This is the only system that I have had that forced me to give up my OLD STYLE MSS for this GREAT NEW SYSTEM..
