CHALLENGE COIN: SEA COMBAT WING ATLANTIC COMMAND : A 2" BRASS Coin, Color One Side, Diamond Cut Two Sides, and Clear Coat Two Sides. The coin is Die Cast and not die struck allowing much greater quality and 3D detail. Helicopter Sea Combat Wing, US Atlantic Fleet [COMHELSEACOMBATWINGLANT] In April of 2005, Helicopter Tactical Wing, Atlantic Fleet [HELTACWINGLANT] and Helicopter Anti-Submarine Wing, Atlantic Fleet [HSWINGLANT] were merged into Helicopter Sea Combat Wing, Atlantic Fleet [HELSEACOMBATWINGLANT] . This merger was a result of the Navy moving toward a reduction in aircraft types. Helicopter Sea Combat Wing, U.S. Atlantic Fleet (HELSEACOMBATWINGLANT) was established in April of 2005. This establishment marked the merger of the former Helicopter Anti-Submarine Wing, U.S. Atlantic Fleet (HSWINGLANT) and Helicopter Tactical Wing, U.S. Atlantic Fleet (HETACWINGLANT), as the Navy moves toward a reduction in aircraft types. HELSEACOMBATWINGLANT combines both the strike capability of the HS wing and the cargo capability of the HC wing into its primary mission. All of its squadrons will eventually transition to the MH-60S Seahawk. Currently, the HSC (formerly HC) squadrons fly the MH-60S, while the HS squadrons fly the SH-60F and the HH-60H.
