Offered is a rare WWII period wristwatch Military Fascist WWII KM Jackle German Navy Army Watch. Between 1933 and 1945 Kriegsmarine (German Navy) issue timepieces were profusely marked with the Nazi emblem; however, standard service wrist-watches were only marked with the initials "KM". German watchmakers produced only limited numbers of timepieces during the WWII, the bulk of their efforts and capacity being devoted to the production of munitions fuses and timers. This economic utility wristwatch, issued to the Kriegsmarine circa 1943, is signed on the dial "Jackle". It is tipical of the products produced for the home market. The movement, which is of baquette form, is made by the Urofa company and complies with the required 15 jewel standart. Although unorthodox for the watch's round case, the baquette shape doesserve a purpose.Originally the case was designed for ease of manufacture and the back only has a snap fit. By distancing the movement from the side walls of the case the watch is still given some degree of waterproofing.
