Up for auction is one (1) original Vietnam War US Military Army Ground Air and/or Air Force Pilot Personal survival kit generally described as follows. <> Stamped on the main lid cover of the unit : SURVIVAL KIT, INDIVIDUAL, LIGHTWEIGHT, ARMY ROCKET JET ENGR. CORP. PART NO. 776000-1 PAT. PEND. CONTRACT NO. DAAG. 17-67-C-0056.<> This kit generally consists of the following components : > A cover lid made of lightweight aluminum painted in a light green. > Bottom section of green plastic which inserts into the metal lid and contains the following : - Attached nylon closure straps with "Lift The Dot" metal snaps which mesh with the knobs on the lid. - Nylon strap carry handle. - The bottom is covered with green "duct" tape and covers the outside items marked : -- TEAR (for where to "rip" the tape) .... FLARE ..... FLARE GUN .... SIGNAL MIRROR (These items can be "felt" under the tape) - The inside of the lid has pieces of "reflective tape" attached. - Nylon string is also attached to the inside. > A small plastic bag with a wooden pencil and general survival instruction booklet. > The large sealed clear vinyl plastic internal survival contents bag remains unopened and untouched. <> This sealed contents bag was "PARTIALLY" opened by pulling a piece of clear tape only at the top for photograph purposes! >>> SEE PHOTO << > The contents
