ASB-5 Radar Scope is a very nice looking CQC-55ACB indicator scope for the famous ASB aircraft radar or World War 2. The ASB, of course, was fitted to many carrier aircraft of the Navy in the 1940s, most notably the TBM Avenger. The ASB was used to search out targets in the Pacific, day or night, and worked well until the microwave radars became available later in the war.Pretty nice shape! In fact - it was minty NEW IN THE BOX! The paint on this is perfect. T is a small spot of tape residue on the top - all ASB-5s seem to have this, probably applied at the factory in 1943. You can remove that safely with some solvent and your fingernail. Note that this includes the hard to find shockmount, also in minty nice condition.International bidders welcome! I tend to put items up over a period of two days, and will almost always wait until the end of the very last auction to send invoices out. Be patient - I never go back on a good sale, and will get invoices out. I mainly use the US Postal Service, and sometime FedEx Ground. I absolutely will not use UPS. Tracking is not optional, so for USPS shipments, it is likely Delivery Confirmation will be used. I normally will not supply the tracking number, unless the shipment gets lost or is late. You may ask for one, but unless t is a problem, I may not send one. I will likely add a handling charge to the shipping charge. It is very reasonable - generally under one dollar. Some larger items may be more for the time I spend packing, but it will never get into unreasonable amounts. The handling charge is my slop in shipping. For most manuals I use Priority Mail Flat Rate envelopes. Media rate is not an option. I prefer Priority Mail because of the relative safe treatment it gets in shipping. My packing is some of the best you will ever see on Ebay. See my feedback. Please wait for an invoice before sending any money. If you send money before I invoice, I may cancel the sale, open an official Ebay dispute, and leave negative feedback. Payment is due within two weeks of the end of the auction. With any payment, please indicate the lot number or description of what is being paid for. I accept personal checks, money orders (USPS, WU, or otherwise), bank checks, company checks, Bid I do not like to use Paypal, so I greatly prefer checks and money orders. I try to be as honest as I can with descriptions, but please remember that just about everything I sell is old, and may have worn out, broken, or just aged beyond use.
