MILLERS FALLS JACK PLANE NO. 14. PATENTED 3-PIECE CAP. NEAR MINT CONDITION. Every now and then I come across a tool that is in almost perfectly new condition. This is such a tool. Even the blade appears to have the original factory grind. It has also been honed into excellent sharpness. The japanning is near 100% and the red paint on the frog is all original with complete coverage. The lacquer finish on the knob and handle are as it left the factory. The sides and sole are completely clean. Mouth is dead straight without the tiniest chip. Original finish on the brass wheel. Plating on the cap is 99.9%. Blade and frog bed clean, with no rust. Cap marked with the Patent No. 1822520. Blade clearly marked with Millers Falls logo (including SINCE 1888). Left side marked: MILLERS FALLS No. 14. It would be hard to find a better one of its kind! Overall -- 14". Blade width -- 2".
