Ming Chai Tea Carved Wooden Container - English & Russian labelingThe container is in nice condition. The container is made of a dark wood that has been nicely carved. The sides have an indented texture. The lid snaps on and off. The lid fits tightly. This would help keep the tea fresh, and requires a little force to open. T is a sticker on the canister and one on the underside. T is some minor scuffing to the surfaces of the container. T is no notable damage to the container that would prevent it from being used. I think this piece has some real eye appeal. The stickers are written in a mixture of English and Russian. The front label states (I'm using the closest English for the letters in the Russian script. MING PYCCKNN YAN Russian Blend Carovon Tea MING Incorporated NEW YORK The label on the bottom states: NET WEIGHT 3 OZ. The container is undated. I would guess it is from the 1970s?
