MING DYNASTY "Ge" KILN GLAZE BRUSH WASHER 　　　　　　 Description: This a copy of the "Ge" kiln brush washer of Song Dynasty which was made in Ming Dynasty.According to its style and glaze,it is similiar to the art of Song Dynasty. It is very hard to find the real "Ge" kiln brush washer of Song Dynasty,however,from it we can realize the style of the "Ge" kiln brush washer of Song Dynasty. The most significant feature of the "Ge" kiln vase of Song Dynasty is that the glaze is thick and meticulous,the color is bright and smooth which is just like cheese.If we put it under the microscope,we can find the air bubbles in it are like a string of pearls.The cracks on the vase are in different size,some are dense while the others are scattered.The color of the cracks are also different,some are buff which are like the gold thread,the others are black just like the steel lines. Since both of them complect together,tfore,they are entitled as " gold thread" and"steel line". The "Ge" kiln vase of Song Dynasty has a firm body and a narrow mouth so the thick glaze can not maintain a lot on the edge of the mouth and much glaze drops a little which becomes a protuberant circle around the mouth.
