There are 24 Hand colored photos. Most of the photos are labeled "published by the new york photographic co" and are hand painted/tinted with very vivid reds, blues and greens and some subtle colors. These are very unique small 2 1/2"x3 3/4" images. There is only one photo that has not been painted (see pics)and is sepia colored. Most of the 24 photos are labeled on the bottom with the year they were registered 1863-1865 in New York and the pictures are titled, "little coquette, the morning toilet..." Also there are 11 prints ( 2 may be water colors but I am not sure).They come in a 5 3/4" x 4 1/2" heavily embossed leather album. The album is missing 1 leg, binding coming apart from cover.
