Martin D-40 guitar commemorates Don Mcleans legendary "American Pie " song first recorded in 1971 American Pie is considered to be among the greatest songs of the twenty century. The Martin D-40 is 8" long "made of bonded porcelain "This guitar has been painstakingly hand painted with remarkably precise detail in a 1:5 scale, including steel guitar strings. this D-40DM is hand signed by Don Mclean and is sequentially hand numbered and will arrive with a picture of Mclean taken at the signing of these beautiful guitars. Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Elvis Presley, Marty Stuart, Gene Autry and Hank Williams (just to name a few) have all played guitars manufactured by C.F. Martin & Co.
