The most famous maker of sub-miniature "spy" cameras was Minox. First made in Latvia in 1938, later in the USSR, and still later in Germany, these tiny cameras were much sought-after and carried by intelligence agents everywhere from WWII through the Cold War.This particular Minox Riga, serial number 03075, was made in Latvia, in 1938. This is the most collectible of the Minox series.This camera was designed by Walter Zapp in 1938, and produced by VEF in Riga. Unlike later models, this one has a stainless steel body.
