This auction is for one pair of mint, unused, of original U.S. Army trouser suspenders for use with WWII paratrooper or mountain troop pants. This pair of suspenders was taken from an original bundle of 10 pairs of suspenders, having a tag dated September 15, 1944. They are in perfect, mint condition and have been in storage since the Fall of 1944. They were intended for use in the European Theater of Operations (ETO) but remained unissued and unused. ********** The suspenders are made of OD cotton web. They have elastic tabs on the back at the bottom, with button holes for attaching to the back of the trousers. On the front, they have a set of straps that attach to the trouser buttons on the front of the trouser waistband. These straps, with two button holes, can be moved up and down to adjust for size. The suspenders have a single stock number (73-S-73000) because they are adjustable and thus are considered to be a universal size. The specification number (Spec. PQD 247C) indicates a modification from an earlier style of paratrooper suspenders (Spec.
