This pipe is GORGEOUS, and is a fine example of the quality and hand craftsmanship Bill Taylor was known for. If you're looking at this listing, it's likely you already know why Ashtons are one of the most highly sought after and collectible pipes in the world. HAND MADE PIPES AT THEIR VERY BEST! This beauty shows FANTASTIC 360 DEGREE STRAIGHT & FLAME GRAIN, with birdseye on the heel and rim! It has very CRISP markings and has a pristine original stem! It is in every way what you would expect from a new pipe, except it was used once or twice at most prior to it's full cleaning and restoration. IT REALLY SHOWS OFF THE QUALITY AND BEAUTY THAT MADE THE ENGLISH HIGH GRADES FAMOUS, and would proudly sit next to ANY Dunhill, Charatan, or Barling! I take pride in the condition of my pipes, as I know you will when you smoke them. IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A CLASSIC English high grade, from one of Englands most collectible carvers, whose memory will be cherished, THIS IS YOUR PIPE! This pipe is sure to be an eminent example of how well preserved estate pipes smoke better than new ones. This pipe also comes with a custom pipe sock to protect your investment. Markings : On the left of the shank, it is stamped ASHTON (in script) over SOVEREIGN next to XX (within an oval). On the right of the shank is stamped MADE IN over ENGLAND 25 . The top of the stem has a pristine silver ringed briar dot. All markings are perfectly crisp, a testament to the gentle handling of this lightly used pipe. Dimensions : 5-5/16” long, 1-7/8" tall, 1-5/16" wide, with a 3/4" chamber diameter. I go the extra mile, so you can light it up as soon as it arrives , and enjoy that first smoke right away. Every pipe is rigorously inspected, and then sanitized, refurbished, and restored with the most meticulous care taken to restoring it to original condition whenever possible. Return Policy: I include many pictures from all angles, so that the buyer can see exactly what they have purchased. I try to make your entire experience with me as easy as possible. If, for any reason, you wish to return your pipe, send it back in unsmoked, as shipped condition, and I will refund your money. I do not give partial refunds, but will issue a full refund (minus shipping costs) upon return of pipe within seven days in unsmoked, as shipped condition.
