This is an original Colt Model CT-9 knife, made in the USA, in factory mint condition, with its original sheath! The knife measures 10-5/8" overall, with a 6-1/8" blade that is sharp on both the true (bottom) edge and the false edge; the false edge swedge is 3-5/8" long. The left side of the blade is deep-marked "Colt/ U.S.A."; the right side is marked: "CT9/ Stainless Steel". The handle is checkered grip-your-palm Kraton, in black and gray with a Colt shield on the left side that has "Colt", and the Rampant Colt. The sheath is tough black leather with a Rampant Colt on the face and a button marked: "Colt". The back of the sheath is marked: "Colt/ Made in U.S.A." T is no box. As you know, this original Colt knife was made for United Cutlery some years ago, when United had a license from Colt Industries. It was made by Camillus Cutlery in Camillus, New York; of course, Camillus was then the largest cutlery subcontractor in the United States. In January, 2007, United Cutlery was liquidated by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. And, in September, 2007, Camillus closed their doors forever and everything was auctioned off--everything went, including the tooling for this knife.
