Up for Auction is one well made RAOR sharp Skinning Bowie by SP in 2001. The blade was hand forged out of 1095 carbon steel, heat treated and sharpened to a SCARY sharp edge. The OAL of this beauty is 10" with a blade length of 5". Alot of work went into making this awesome knife. On the left side of the blade as shown in the pictures is the makers mark--SP and the year '01. On the right side of the blade is #31. This is a full tang knife with a beautiful stag handle that is actually in 3 pieces with each piece being sepatated by red, white and black spacers. The wing nut on the end of the handle is covered by a gorgeous piece of precious stone of blue and green. It really makes this skinning BOWIE a very attractive knife. The finger guard is tight with the blade and made of solid brass. As stated the knife is MINT, never used, worn , etc. The only marks on it are some very, very faint sheath marks from removing the knife from the sheath and putting it back in. I don't even think they are worth mentioning as you really have to look to find them. The sheath is a handmade blackpowder or Re-enactmanet type sheath. Heavy duty, leather laced and the knife and sheath go together great. This knife would be a great collection piece, a wonder hunting knife as it is WICKED sharp, or a great knife to carry for Black Powder or RE-Enactment events.
